Instead, we will straight away feed you with the crisp information about the Safaris at Kaziranga, something which we pioneer in.
Game Drives:Kaziranga NP offers Jeep safaris primarily in 3 different zones, namely, Kohora (Central zone), Bagori (Western zone) &Agratoli (Eastern zone). Our suggestion would be to keep at least 3 nights and 4 days while planning, so that you can do at least 2 jeep safaris in each separate zone. If you have more time, the merrier it gets.
Elephant rides: Apart from Jeep safari’s, Elephant safaris are also organized at Central & Western zones every day early morning and It is very interesting to take a Elephant ride in the vast grasslands of kaziranga. The chances of encounter with a Rhino or a Tiger from close proximity is quite high, thus it is recommended that you take at least one elephant ride during your trip to experience the royal feel of riding an elephant back, like what Maharaja’s did. It is a 1 hour ride on a four sharing basis and needs to be pre booked as there is a good amount of rush to avail it.
Accomodation:Dream safari is tied up with a wide range of hotels and resorts at Kaziranga and we can book you at any place that would fit your budget. Primary staying place is recommended to be aroundKohora (Central zone) from which both the other zones can be visited within moderate time.
How to reach:
By Air: You can reach Kaziranga either through Guwahati or through Jorhat. Both places have airports.
By Rail: You can reach Guwahati by train
From Guwahati we will pick you up and it is about 200kms/4 hrs continuous drive to KohoraKaziranga
From Jorhat we will pick you up and it is about 100 kms/2 hrs continuous drive to KohoraKaziranga
A model itinerary is given below for your reference:
| Day 1 | Pick up from Airport/Station & drop to Kohora resort. Take the afternoon safari if time permits else visit Hatikhuli tea estate and Orchid garden. |
| Day 2 | Visit Agratoli(Eastern range) for full day. Carry packed breakfast and have lunch at Agratoli. Return to Kohora after the evening safari. |
| Day 3 | Visit the Central zone in the morning & The Western zone in the afternoon. |
| Day 4 | Go for Elephant ride in either Central or Western range at early morning around 4am, that is when the rides start and continue till 6am. You can take jeep safari after the elephant ride has ended. Check out by 11am and proceed to Airport or Station depending on your onward journey. |
