Sundarban tour 2 Nights 3 days Itinerary:

DAY: 1

For Kol to Kol packages: Start at 7 AM from Kolkata, Reach Gadkhali by 11 AM (Tea on the way).

For Gadkhali to Gadkhali packages, meet at 11 am at Gadkhali ferry ghat. Board the Safari Boat and visit Hamilton Bunglow& Beacon Bunglow, where the great Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore had once stayed. Then head straight for Sajnekhali Wildlife sanctuary buffer, which will take 2 hrs to reach. Have Breakfast &Lunch on the boat. Visit the buffer forest by boat for bird watching OR visit a nearby village to experience the livelihood of the villagers. You can meet people like honey collectors, fishermen, and also survivors of tiger attack. It is very interesting to know about the livelihood of these people, which is very different from ours. We hope that you will remember this experience with pleasure.

The night will be spent on the motorboat. This is a unique and fun experience. It is extremely relaxing and de-stressing to be surrounded by this silence. The boat has accommodation facilities for up to ten tourists and is equipped with all basic amenities. You are bound to feel at one with Nature while you sit on the deck in the evening. However, if the team size is more than ten we shall shift everyone to a resort (non-ac) of good quality at no additional cost on a four-sharing basis. Dinner will be served on the boat.

DAY: 2

Start at 6 am from SajnekhaliOr the point where the Boat was parked for night stay. Breakfast will be served on the boat.

Visit the Mangrove interpretation center at Sajnekhali along with Sajnekhali watch tower. Then cruise through the creeks and rivers in the tourism areas of the Tiger Reserve throughout the day. Our expert guides will share information with you with regard to the various types of mangroves and their importance along with looking out for the various species of wildlife including the highly elusive Royal Bengal Tiger.

Lunch will be served on Boat. Stoppages will be made at, at least 2 watchtowers, Sudhannyakhali & Dobanki. We will exit the tiger reserve before sunset and stay the night outside the tiger reserve either at a hotel or in the boat as per package purchased by you. Evening snacks and tea will be served on the boat.

We can arrange for some local folk music in the evening at an additional cost. Dinner will be served on the boat or at the hotel by 9 pm.

Day: 3

Start at 8 am and Cruise through the buffer forest. Visit any local market or Village. Have lunch on the boat and drop off at Gadkhali. For Kolkata to Kolkata packages, transit from Gadkhali to Kolkata will be provided.

Other Details

Food:  Our best efforts are to treat our guests with special food and fruits that are staple to Sundarban areas to add flavor & essence to the tour and make it memorable in all possible ways. Food served will be a mix of Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian Indian Cuisine. Full Vegetarian meals can be provided if information is shared at the time of booking. Food served is normal home style and non-spicy so that your stay and safaris can happen in good health. All Food is prepared in packaged drinking water & best quality mediums are used to maintain health and hygiene. We would be glad to know your preferences and serve accordingly. Extra Food and Snacks can be available on cost, subject to availability. Drinking water is Packaged Bottled drinking water that comes in 20-liter jars.

Accommodation: The above 1N 2D and 2N 3D packages are all Boat stay arrangements. You may view the arrangement in “Our Boats” section and get an idea of the same. It is very neatly maintained to provide comfort and maintain hygiene. The boat has a western-style toilet, which is sterilized daily and neatly maintained at all times to meet your basic needs.

Teams will put up at resorts located on the fringes of Tiger reserve far from the crowd to maintain solidarity, if only the team size exceeds 10. Non-AC accommodations will be provided on four sharing basis, however exclusive rooms can be provided at an added cost which needs to be informed at the time of booking.

Cost Includes:

1. All Meals (3 Breakfast, 3Lunch, 2Evening Snacks, 2Dinners).
2. Boat charges.
3. All entry permits & Guide charges.
4. Night stay in Boat / Launch.

There is no hidden cost.

Cost Excludes:

1. All kind of personal expenses such as tips, laundry, telephone bills & beverages.
2. Video camera charges.
3. Hotel charges for night stay.
4. Transit charges from Kolkata to Kolkata.

Foreigners will need to pay an additional forest entry charges as per government rules and tariffs as applicable.

Child Policy:

1. Child below 4 years: Complimentary with no extra bed
2. Child between 5 to 10 years: 50% of adult package with no extra bed
3. Child above 10 years: same as adult package

Payment Terms:

1. 50% advance to be paid at the time of booking. Balance 50% to be paid at least 30 days prior to the date of departure.
2. However if the date of booking is within 30 days of date of journey, 100% of the package cost to be paid during booking.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellation charges will be applicable as mentioned below if written intimation is received –

1. At least 30 days or more in advance of the journey date: 30% of total package amount
2. In between 29 days and 15 days of the journey date: 50% of total package amount
3. Within 14 days of the journey date: 100% of total package amount

If the tour gets cancelled as a result of any natural calamities like flood, cyclone etc. or due to any political or sociological disturbances like bandh, curfew etc. which is beyond control of Dream Safari, no refund will be given. However, Dream Safari will try their best to reschedule the tour in some alternate mutually agreed dates.

Special note: Itinerary is subject to change/alteration as the visit to the various watchtowers depends upon weather, tide conditions & Forest department permissions available at that point of time. However, all watchtowers and destinations as mentioned in the itinerary will otherwise definitely be covered.

Sundarban is non-plastic zone so please do not carry any. Throwing ANYTHING, even spitting in the water or in the park areas while on boat will attract a fine of up to Rs.20,000/ - and immediate cancellation of tour. A separate detailed list of Do’s and Don’ts will be shared at the time of booking and has to be adhered to by every member.

*For weekend tours of 1 N 2D & 2N 3D minimum head count has to be 8, less than which might lead to cancellation and full refund. However, cancellation is a very rare occasion, as we hate to disappoint you.
